‘No Guarantee’ on When Power Will Return to San Marino
San Marino City Manager Matt Ballantyne told Patch around 11:30 a.m. Thursday that residents should plan to have power out the rest of Thursday and Friday, as widespread outages and a declared emergency followed severe winds Wednesday and Thursday.

It seems the whole city of San Marino is without power, as and Thursday closures included all San Marino schools (including Stoneman), , the , the and other businesses.
San Marino City Manager Matt Ballantyne told Patch Thursday morning around 11:30 a.m. that he has been in contact with Southern California Edison and there is “no guarantee” as to when power will be restored.
“They (SCE) are not committing to any time frame at all,” said Ballantyne, who added that when city dispatch has called SCE it’s been hard to get much information at all since SCE is likely overwhelmed with calls.

So far no injuries have been reported, though some homes—10 so far, according to Ballantyne—have experienced significant damage due to fallen trees.
The city’s biggest priority has been clearing roadways of trees and debris, especially for emergency access purposes.
“When all is said and done it will probably take a week to clean up,” Ballantyne said about the San Marino wind damage, but added, “This is manageable.”
