Ring in the new year in style in San Marino and its neighboring cities.

While San Marino isn't exactly known for its nightlife, there are plenty of fabulous (and low key) ways to ring in the new year close to home. Say goodbye to 2011 by dining out with friends, listening to blues music or partying the night away.

1. End the year in style with a lavish five or seven course prix fixe menu at The Royce at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena. The first seating--from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.--is $155 per person without wine and $210 with wine.  While the second seating--from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.--is a tad more expensive at $180 without wine and $250 with wine, you'll dine closer to midnight celebrations. 3. If a big New Year's Eve bash is more your style, Pasadena's Noor is the place for you. From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. munch on complimentary appetizers and sip martinis from the venue's open bar. For $85 presale ($110 at the door), you can dance to the pulsing beats of Radio DJ of the Year, DJ Creativity and welcome 2012 with a champagne toast at midnight.

4. You don't have to stay up all night to celebrate the end of 2011. Get the day off to a delicious start with breakfast at . The local gourmet restaurant offers delectable breakfast pastries, including almond croissants, cinnamon buns and coffecake.
