The Pasadena Playhouse - "Kiss Me, Kate" is too darn hot...

9-21-14 attended the opening night of “Kiss Me, Kate” at The Pasadena Playhouse.

I say “Kiss Me Baby “ and congrats to a dear friend a mother-to-be Becky Baeling Lythgoe, producer of the Panto musical at The Pasadena Playhouse. The Lythgoe family also produce some of the top TV shows such as American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. So looking forward to our Dim Sum outing.

What an amazing performance by the cast...As Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director of The Pasadena Playhouse put it’s ...”a celebration of the joys, madness, frustrations, and rewards of life in the theater. Using The Taming of the Shrew (one of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedies) as inspiration...” I love and blow away by one of the song, “Too Darn Hot...you can feel the rising heat sitting in the audience !!
I have the pleasure to work with Sheldon & Elizabeth Doran (Executive Director of The Playhouse) as a producer for “Junior Got Talents” in the summer of 2013, I love her approach in performance arts and education...in her own words...”We are here to exercise compassion, teach empathy, communicate and laugh together, reflect on tough issues, provide a home for tolerance and self-expression for ourselves and our children, and give artists room to experiment...”.
We should provide more opportunity to young people to express themselves in a positive ways...indeed.
