They have a specialist in vintage clothing here and he is very knowledgeable. I believe his name is Peter. He bumped up the schedule of my cleaning since he knew it was for my wedding... they clean vintage clothing for museums. He let me know that my dress was made of a very fragile silk fabric no longer around and recommended not sending it away to be cleaned in fear that it would fall apart. He carefully cleaned the dress himself there. He also let me know that the dress needed to be fully re-threaded and gave me advice on where to go for alterations. I was very glad to find such a knowledgeable person who gave great advice and made my grandmothers dress look it's best.
