SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo police have concluded a preplanned law enforcement operation that had prompted an early morning advisory for residents Thursday in a portion of the city.
The San Mateo Police Department initially told the public around 5:15 a.m. Thursday to avoid the 3000 block of Mason Lane, stating officers were assisting an outside agency with an operation in the area.
Around 45 minutes later, around 6 a.m., police lifted the advisory, informing residents that normal activity could resume.
Authorities did not immediately release details regarding the nature of the operation or the outside agency involved.
