SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Stanford Blood Center is offering two free San Francisco Giants tickets to anyone who donates blood in June, as the organization works to shore up its supply ahead of the summer months.
All donors who give between June 1 and June 30 will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to one of 20 select Giants home games in July, August, or September at Oracle Park.
The blood center says there is an immediate need for all blood types, with a particular shortage of O- and O+.
Donations can be made at Stanford Blood Center locations in Menlo Park, Mountain View, Campbell, and Dublin, as well as at mobile drives throughout the area. Donors can find their nearest location, make an appointment, or check eligibility at stanfordbloodcenter.org, through the SBC app, by calling 888-723-7831, or by texting 999-777. Walk-ins are welcome.
Donors must be at least 17 years old — or 16 with parental consent — in good health, and free of cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms.
Eating well and staying hydrated before donating is recommended. A photo ID is required.
