MILLBRAE, CA — A man was arrested Monday after San Mateo County sheriff's deputies found him carrying a loaded handgun concealed in his waistband in Millbrae, authorities said.
Deputies responded around 12:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Broadway following a report of a man carrying a handgun, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
After searching the area, deputies found a man matching the description provided by the person who reported the incident, the Sheriff's Office said.
The man was identified as Jose Henriquez. Deputies said they found a Glock 17 9mm handgun concealed in his waistband.
The gun was registered to Henriquez, but he did not have a valid California concealed carry weapons license, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Henriquez was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.
