California Highway Patrol reunites owner with Chevy Chevelle stolen 33 years ago (actionnewsnow.com) — A Chevy Chevelle reported stolen to the San Mateo Police Department 33 years ago has finally been returned to its original owner after a routine CHP VIN inspection in Newcastle raised red flags. Investigators say the current owner cooperated fully and isn't suspected in the theft, but they still don't know who altered the car's identification numbers or when.
