A resident confronted him, and officers later booked him into San Mateo County Jail on burglary and drug-related charges, underscoring the importance of staying alert around your property.
   

• City of San Mateo, CA – Sewer Enterprise Surveillance Report (kbra.com) — San Mateo's sewer system is getting a major upgrade, with the Clean Water Program and wastewater treatment plant expansion expected to wrap up in 2026, supported by a large federal WIFIA loan. While the system serves an affluent, mostly residential area and remains financially strong, residents are already paying above-average sewer bills and the city is carrying relatively high debt to fund these improvements.
   

• No smoking, fighting or spitting: Caltrain strengthens rider code of conduct (almanacnews.com) — Riders on Caltrain, including those boarding in San Mateo County, will soon be subject to a formal code of conduct that bans smoking, fighting, spitting, harassment, and other disruptive behavior.
