Choreographer Breaks 'New Ground' in Belmont

By bringing together students, artists and members of the community, and Coleen Lorenz hopes to broaden the expressive arts experience for everyone in the mid-Peninsula. 

Lorenz, who teaches dance at and (NDNU), is a choreographer and artistic director for the newly formed NewGround Theatre Dance Company. 

"I've always wanted to develop a professionally affiliated dance company--every university has one, and that was one thing missing from this part of the Peninsula. We want NewGround to become the dance company of the South Bay area," she said.
