Have you ever held public office, whether appointive or elective?

Enterprise Elementary School Board Member 24-26

What are the top three issues facing your district/constituents right now?

Fire prevention/Forest management, Water resources being protected/increased, Decreasing excessively restrictive legislation/regulations/policies, and economic affordability.

What is one specific policy you would implement in your first 100 days?

I know I will have many pieces of current legislative proposals to review and vote on, that will take precedence. I will be focused on learning this new role and partnering with other like minded Congressional Representatives/State/Local leaders to gather the highest priority issues to support the policies that need supporting that will benefit CA District 2 the most. I would like to get a solid understanding of the hindrances to the Site Reservoir, investigate the legislative roadblocks to better Forest Management and also work with citizens to present solutions to the issues they want prioritized. I honestly don't have a specific policy in mind. I understand I'll have a learning curve, but I'm confident in my ability to learn new skills quickly and proficiently. There will be a mountain of topics to address and I will tackle as many as I possibly can every moment I'm Representing our CA North State.

What is your plan to reduce homelessness, and how would you measure success after one year?

I would begin with seeing what programs/ideas have been successful and replicate what's working. I have seen excellent ideas of mass affordable housing created from abandoned buildings. I think it will be vital to provide adequate oversight over Federal tax payer dollars to verify that they are being allocated to the intended recipients, cutting Admin/overhead costs so local communities get the bulk of funding. Success will be measured by seeing housing availability increase, homeless statistics decrease, and having plenty of fact based data to verify money is being wisely allocated.

What is one specific change you would make to improve public safety?

Addressing homelessness would be a huge improvement to public safety. In Redding we have the same 20% of repeat offenders rotating in and out of the jail. Enforcing existing laws is essential paired with adequate resources to maintain sufficient enforcement. This is a high priority problem in the majority of CA District 2 Counties. My recent concern has been gathering information on Cartel activity that is being unaddressed due to insuffcient resources. I don't have all the answers, but I'm committed to collaborating with each County to get their most pressing needs resolved as soon as possible, using every available resource and connection that I can.

How would you improve transparency or accountability in local government?

Read legislation and do the job right/throughall. I would like to present a policy proposal: singular legislation, limited to 100-500 pages total. Currently the proposals are hundreds of pages with so many hidden issues buried within that it skews transparency and accountability. I have so many ideas and a growing list of topics to address. I will role model transparency in my conduct, keep constituents updated in every way I can, require factual based supportive evidence during reviews, and pay close attention to the funding/money behind legislation proposals. I'd also like to look at existing legislation to revise/remove, reduce/simplify, or condense redundant legislation.

Why are you a better choice than your opponents?

The position of Congress is defined as: "The House is the only branch of government that has been directly elected by American voters since its formation in 1789. Unlike the Senate, the House is not a continuing body. Its Members must stand for election every two years, after which it convenes for a new session and essentially reconstitutes itself... Direct, biennial elections and the size of the membership (currently 435 voting Representatives) have made the House receptive to a continual influx of new ideas and priorities that contribute to its longstanding reputation as the "People's House." ** https://www.house.gov/the-house-explained/history-of-the-house. This is the only position created for the peoples voice to be accurately represented in DC with intent to provide fresh perspectives/new ideas every 2yrs.. Currently this position has been overtaken by career politicians who remain in office for 10-25yrs, become wealthy and disconnected from the voice of the voters and detached from understanding the needs of the majority of citizens suffering under legislation that never impacts those in office personally. Congress was created for citizen like myself, who are willing to serve our District from a perspective of expereiential knowledge regarding the desperate needs and magnified frustrations from the boots on the ground. I am a Veteran, my opponent is not. I am a local small business owner who has experienced the excessive restricitve legislation hindering expansion. I am a single mother of 4 who has a lived experience of the broken social programs and an understanding of suggested improvements. I am a residing School Board Member in a Title 1 District and a parent who has experienced the failing education system. I am a community advocate for those suffering the most: Single parent families, women fleeing domestic violence, and hurting teenagers who are wandering without basic resources to keep them safe. My PHD has been earned through being a helping hand to the hurting and finding innovative ways to provide community support that is unavailable or severely inadequate. Congress requires fresh new ideas from a fresh perspective and I will passionately bring that to Washington with a relentless zeal of a mother who wants children protected in America, and freedom preserved for the following generations. Our communities do not feel supported or safe, and that needs to change immediately.

What changes, if any, would you support regarding the role of federal immigration enforcement agencies, including ICE, and how they interact with state and/or local governments?

Its easy to see that our Immigration legislation is outdated and cannot sufficiently meet the current needs of 2026, so revisions and updates need to be addressed asap. One policy suggestion is the citizenship process should be obtainable in 3-5yrs max, not 10-20. We should support legal immigration and prevent/deter illegal immigration, while implementing swift law enforcement deportation standards for all illegal migrant criminals. ICE has been demonized and isolated as an agency that is causing harm, but its simply a law enforcement division following the required exisiting legislation. Its clear to see the current Immigration legislation needs to be revised in a way that can potentially address the various concerns from both political sides, with intent to do what is best overall for every individual impacted: citizens, legal migrants, unaccompanied children, illegal migrants and illegal criminal migrants. They all have unique categorical needs that must be logically considered with a balanced humane perspective.
