BREAKING: Police officials from all three agencies believe the rash of burglaries are connected.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — More than 25 cars were burglarized in San Ramon, Danville and Blackhawk Monday evening, police officials said. According to police, the bulk of the burglaries were reported in the 24 Hour Fitness parking lot located at 4450 Norris Canyon Rd. Police said 14 car windows were smashed in the lot and three more were discovered in the UPS parking lot adjacent to the gym.
In Danville, three similar car burglaries were reported on the same night, according to police. Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jimmy Lee said six additional cars were burglarized in the Blackhawk Plaza parking lot Monday.
In most of the cases, the stolen items were left in plain site and included valuables like purses and laptops, police said. Police officials from all three agencies believe the burglaries are connected. No arrests have been made at this time.
