3-Year-Old Dies Following Appointment in San Ramon Dental Office

SAN RAMON, CA — A 3-year-old Brentwood girl died Saturday following a dental procedure, San Ramon Police Lt. Denton Carlson said.

Police and fire personnel were dispatched at about 10:20 a.m. to investigate a report of an unresponsive child at a dental office located at 111 Deerwood Road in San Ramon. Carlson said firefighters were already working on the girl when officers arrived.

“Ultimately SRVFPD transported the child to the San Ramon Regional Medical Center,” Carlson said.

Officials from the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office have identified the girl as Marvelena Rady. A cause of death is not yet known. There is currently no criminal investigation into the death, according to police.
