4th of July Road Closures for Run San Ramon Run

Police ask drivers to avoid the area during the morning hours on Fourth of July.

San Ramon, CA— Thousands are expected to gather for the popular Run San Ramon Run, which has become a Fourth of July tradition for East Bay residents. Race organizers say the run will benefit the City of San Ramon’s community programs.

The run is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. from the San Ramon Central Park Community Center. Police anticipate all of the roadways will be fully opened by 11:00 am.

Here is a list of the road closures:

  • All southbound lanes of Alcosta Blvd between Norris Canyon Rd. and Bollinger Canyon Rd.
  • All northbound lanes of Camino Ramon between Bollinger Canyon Rd. and Bishop Dr.
  • All eastbound lanes of Norris Canyon Rd. between Bishop Dr. and Alcosta Blvd.

Police say there are numerous turn lane and partial roadway closures throughout the Bishop Ranch area that morning.

The park is located at 12501 Alcosta Blvd. in San Ramon.

In nearby Danville, many downtown streets will be closed between 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the annual Fourth of July parade.
