Mathew Maughan with The
Helsing Group Inc., ACMF, in
San Ramon has received the “Certified
Community Association Manager” (CCAM®) designation from the California
Association of Community Managers (CACM). The CCAM is the only
California-specific certification awarded to professionals working in the
community association management field in California.
“Last
year was a banner year for community management professionals with more than
150 people statewide earning California certification through the CCAM
program,” said Karen Conlon, president and CEO of CACM. “HOA management is
extremely complex in our state, which currently features more than 1,200 laws
pertaining to common interest developments – one of the highest in the country.
As a result, more homeowners associations are seeking community managers who
hold California-specific certification as demonstration of their knowledge and
expertise in California association management.”
Based
in Laguna Hills, Calif., CACM is the only community association management
organization in the nation to offer a California-only educational program
leading to the designation of “Certified Community Association Manager” (CCAM®)
for industry professionals. CACM’s membership is comprised of nearly 3,000
California-based professionals from the community association management
industry. California is home to more than 48,500 associations. For more
information on CACM, please visit www.cacm.org.
