Active Shooter Training Scheduled In San Ramon

The training scheduled July 30 at California High School is for first responders only.

SAN RAMON, CA — Local police and fire agencies will be holding an active shooter training exercise at California High School in San Ramon, so residents should expect to see many first responders at the campus and the event may get loud. San Ramon Police Department, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, San Ramon Valley Fire Dispatch, and Central County SWAT personnel will all be participating in the exercise July 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The training is for first responders only.

The purpose of the event is to prepare, prevent and respond to emergency situations, the SRPD and SRVFPD said.
