An 18-year-old girl fell off her bicycle on Pine Valley and suffered a head wound, according to Cpl. Randy Ritter of the San Ramon Police Department. A REACH helicopter was dispatched to transport her to the hospital. In the meantime, the school was locked down to keep children and staff out of harm’s way.
The girl was airlifted to John Muir where she was diagnosed with a concussion. She also suffered cuts, bruises and road rash. She is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow. She was not wearing a helmet when she crashed.
