Amazon Delivery Driver Kidnapped In San Ramon: Reports
Two suspects forced an Amazon driver to withdraw cash at ATMs in San Ramon and Dublin following a collision, police said.
SAN RAMON, CA — An Amazon delivery driver in San Ramon was kidnapped following a car crash Saturday, according to reports in KRON4 and NBC Bay Area.
San Ramon police told the outlets that a dark-colored SUV rear-ended the Amazon truck near Crow Canyon Road and San Ramon Valley Boulevard around 3 p.m. Saturday. Following the collision, a woman from the SUV got into the passenger seat of the Amazon truck and forced the victim to drive to a Bank of America in San Ramon, while the man followed in the SUV.
The pair forced the driver to withdraw an unknown amount of money at the ATM, then forced him to drive to another bank in Dublin. There was reportedly a problem at that ATM, and the pair left the driver at the bank and took off.
