SAN RAMON, CA — The World Cup is right around the corner, and San Ramon is celebrating some of its homegrown soccer talent. City Center Bishop Ranch is launching a Slate Program installation celebrating homegrown soccer talent, and it’s kicking it off with Homegrown Pros: A World Cup Celebration, a day of soccer contests, Q&As, photos, and more.
On May 17, guests can enjoy a Q&A with Chris Wondolowski of the San Jose Earthquakes, the U.S. Men’s National Team, and a National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee who started with Mustang Soccer, and by members of the Bay FC Founding Four, including:
Guests can also enjoy club-themed selfie stations with replica FIFA World Cup trophies, photo opportunities with Bay FC’s Founding Four, and a soccer shooting contest on the lawn in Alexander Square, where players can compete for prizes.
City Center will also make donations to youth and community soccer organizations.
