Car Crashes Into San Ramon Home, Causing Fire

A preliminary investigation shows a medical emergency caused a driver to crash into a home on Foxboro Circle Monday night.

SAN RAMON, CA — A car crashed into a home in San Ramon and caught fire Monday night, according to the San Ramon Police Department.

At around 9:09 p.m., San Ramon police officers and firefighters responded to reports that a car had collided with a residence on the 10800 block of Foxboro Circle, near Montevideo Elementary School. A preliminary investigation shows that the driver may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision, according to an SRPD spokesperson.

The driver sustained burn injuries and was transported by helicopter to UC Davis Medical Center. Two passengers were in the car at the time of the collision. One passenger sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene, and the other was uninjured, police said.

No one else, including the residents of the home, were injured. Patch is awaiting information on the damage caused to the home and the car.
