San Ramon Teen Council Applications Open

High school students interested in representing the teen population to the city have until Feb. 15 to apply for the upcoming school year.

SAN RAMON, CA - Applications are open for the Teen Council, a 17-member committee appointed by the city council who make recommendations on teen programs and recreation policies, among other responsibilities. Applicants must be in high school in the 2023-24 school year, and live in San Ramon.

The Teen Council has a number of responsibilities, including:

  • Identifying areas of improvement for teen programs and recreation policies.
  • Appointing subcommittees to further the work of the council.
  • Receiving input from the teen population in San Ramon.
  • Acting as liaisons for teen issues to government and private organizations.

Applications for the 2023-24 school year will be accepted through Feb. 15 by 5 p.m. No late applications will be accepted. The Parks & Community Services Commission will review and score applications, and extend interviews to a predetermined number of applicants.
