Armed Robbery In San Ramon Leads To Police Chase, Crash

SAN RAMON, CA — Two men committed an armed robbery inside a San Ramon apartment, then led police on a chase before being arrested, according to the San Ramon Police Department.

On Tuesday at around 6:49 p.m., San Ramon officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Cobblestone Apartments on the 3900 block of Crow Canyon Road. The victim told police that two men armed with handguns assaulted him and took items of value from him, causing him minor injuries.

The suspects fled the area in a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, which was recognized by FLOCK cameras. The Hyundai was located by officers from the Oakland Police Department, resulting in a car chase. The chase ended when the suspect vehicle crashed in Oakland. The two suspects fled on foot, but were apprehended by officers. They were identified as Isaiah Burns, 22, of San Francisco; and Joseph Broussard, 27, of Oakland. Officers said they found a loaded firearm inside their car.

Both suspects were booked into Santa Rita Jail.
