Since 2006, Assistance League® Diablo Valley has enjoyed a Community Partners component, where employee volunteers from local businesses and corporations become “hands-on” involved with several of the chapter’s philanthropic programs.

On September 15, Community Partners from Walnut Creek-based Fehr & Peers, a provider of transportation and engineering services, made yet another visit to Assistance League Diablo Valley offices. Since 2017, Fehr & Peers has been “hands-on” involved with the nationally acclaimed Operation School Bell® and other of the chapter’s 15 philanthropic programs.

The indefatigable innovators reported to the chapter annex where they bundled six pairs of socks, six pairs of underwear, a sweatshirt, two pairs of pants or one pair of pants and one pair of shorts for the boys, two pairs of pants or one pair of pants and one skort (upon request) for the girls, and three white, collared shirts—all into large, reusable blue bags, 157 in total. These will be delivered to schoolchildren attending Stoneman Elementary School (GO, DOLPHINS!) in the Pittsburg Unified School District.
