Assistance League’s TeleCare Visits Sensational Seniors Event

When philanthropic organizations interface, everybody wins.

Each holiday season, TeleCare clients party heartily as the guest of honor distributes gifts.

Since 1971, members of TeleCare, one of 15 philanthropic programs of Assistance League Diablo Valley, have been making weekly reassurance calls to seniors and the homebound in our community. Clients enjoy a friendly exchange of ideas with trained volunteers who provide high quality, consistent insights.

On Thursday, March 13, several TeleCare volunteers will venture out to staff a table at the Sensational Senior’s Event located at St. Matthew’s Church, 399 Wiget Lane in Walnut Creek. This session will continue to explore the 5 Pillars of Healthy Aging, one of which concerns social engagement and meaningful activity.

Priding themselves as good listeners, TeleCare volunteers look forward to hearing about challenges and life-affirming insights that help seniors navigate the aging process. They will provide those interesting with a brochure that further describes the TeleCare program. Feel free to call 925 934-0901.
