Assistance League Thrift Shop’s Cashmere Event Promises Chic Warmth

The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Thrift Shop, located next to the Park Theater in Lafayette, are busily preparing for the Cashmere Event that will begin on Tuesday, October 17 at 10 am and continue while inventory lasts. The well-known landmark will transform to a virtual garment district, featuring racks and shelves bulging with previously owned, but many times infrequently worn, high end items that will appeal to discerning shoppers.
Cashmere is a fine textured goat hair that is light and soft, yet stronger than other wools with three times the insulating capacity. You’ll appreciate these attributes now that lower temperatures loom on the horizon. You’ll certainly delight in the palette of colors, styles and insanely low prices. Whether worn with a dress, skirt, slacks or your favorite pair of jeans, cashmere sweaters will prove most versatile.
The well attended event will provide wise investments while your donations and purchases at Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop will help fund 16 hands-on programs.
