Sketch Of Attempted Kidnapping Suspect Released By San Ramon PD

Police said the suspect pulled up next to the girl and told her that her father had sent him to pick her up and drop her off at her house.

SAN RAMON, CA —Police in San Ramon have released a sketch of a man accused of trying to kidnap a teenager Friday evening. A 13-year-old girl told police she was walking in the 500 block of Fallen Leaf Circle at about 5:30 p.m. when a man in a white vehicle pulled up next to her and told her that her father had sent him to pick her up and drop her off at her house, police said.

When the girl refused to get in the car, the driver opened the door for her from inside the car and tried to grab her by her clothing, according to police. The victim ran from the car, hid in some nearby bushes and called her parents, who reported the incident to San Ramon police. Police were unable to locate the suspect or associated vehicle.

Police said the male is believed to be between 35 and 50 years old. He had a dark complexion with a light blue circle around one of his eyeballs, between the white portion and the iris, "shaggy" hair and a mustache, police described. The victim said he spoke with an accent and lisp.

The man was wearing a gray or blue shirt with a white Nike logo on it and a black hooded jacket. The victim also said the suspect was wearing a ring on his right hand with a design of two overlapping snakes, police said.

He was driving a 4-door hatchback similar to a Nissan Rogue or Versa, according to cops. The vehicle had dark tinted rear passenger windows and a yellow star containing a smiley face on the front windshield. Police provided the following partial license plate number "7HM….6."
