Bishop Ranch Hosts Inaugural 'Turkey Trot' 5K

Put on your turkey costumes and prepare to run around City Center to raise money for a local food bank.

SAN RAMON, CA — Bishop Ranch is hosting its first-ever Turkey Trot race on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 8 to 10 a.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano to help those dealing with food insecurity.

The run or walk starts at City Center Bishop Ranch and goes around Lake Annabel. Participants are encouraged to dress like turkeys to be eligible for a range of fun gifts.

  • Fast Turkey Trot - 8-8:40 a.m. Competitive race.
  • 5K Turkey Trot - 8-10 a.m. Leisurely 5K open to all.
  • 0.5K Tiny Turkey Trot - 9-10 a.m. Dash around City Center open to children 5 and younger.

Tickets range from $15 to $42.50.
