According to district spokesperson Terry Koehne, all of the students and staff were evacuated to the football field and emergency personnel were on campus investigating.

“Around 11:30 a.m. today, a young person, who was not from the area and not a student, called the front office and expressed concern over a rumor of a possible bomb in the main commons area on the campus,” Koehne said. “The school resource officer spoke to the caller and decided it was important to respond. Police, fire and bomb-sniffing dogs on loan from BART Police are here.”

Koehne says the district notified parents by text message and says the district will soon be releasing information as well.

“We are discouraging parents from coming to or calling the school unless there is an emergency,” Koehne said.
