UPDATE: Missing 8-Year-Old Autistic Boy Found Safe

Eric Schnieder was last seen shortly after 4 p.m.

Update at 6:35 p.m.:

An at-risk child who went missing this afternoon near a park in San Ramon has been found safe in Pleasanton, according to police. Police said that Eric Schneider, 8, had been last seen riding a scooter near Rancho San Ramon Community Park just after 4 p.m. At 6:26 p.m. police announced that the boy was being reunited with his parents. Further details were not immediately available.

SAN RAMON, CA: Officials in San Ramon tonight are searching for a missing 8-year-old non-verbal autistic boy, according to a statement released by the City of San Ramon.

According to police officials, Eric Schnieder was last seen shortly after 4 p.m. near Rancho San Ramon Park in San Ramon.

Schnieder was wearing a blue jacket and navy blue pants. He was wearing a bright blue helmet while riding a silver scooter.
