At the Assistance League® of Diablo Valley March 10 regular meeting, Broadway Plaza’s Senior Manager of Marketing Tracy Dietlein offered, electronically, insights concerning present day name recognition. While listening to her strategies in the comfort of my home, I felt a one-on-one rapport which was enhanced by Ms. Dietlein’s humor and humility.

The Notre Dame de Numur University alumna shared that Broadway Plaza’s goal is to make today’s customer feel comfortable during both in store shopping and curbside pickup. Accepting the power of social media and the reality of aggressive competition are a must. Ms. Dietlein’s grass roots approach to marketing also includes the use of storefront display of merchandise and partnership with other organizations.

Likewise, Ms. Dietlein emphasized that the member is the best spokesperson for an organization such as Assistance League of Diablo Valley. Connecting with people via word of mouth surpasses technology. A message that includes pride in what member volunteers accomplish, i.e. “I am proud of what Assistance League of Diablo Valley has achieved,” resonates throughout the community.

Assistance League of Diablo Valley has enjoyed a much appreciated rapport with Ms. Dietlein, including a denim event and numerous visits to the Assistance League of Diablo Thrift Shop at the Way Side Inn in Lafayette to offer display strategies.

In preparation of the chapter’s primary fundraiser’s reopening on April 6, Ms. Dietlein has provided a storefront opportunity at Broadway Plaza for member volunteers to display props that fund the chapter’s ten philanthropic programs. Please drop by (window peeking allowed) at 1275 Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek.
