Cal High Freshman Plotted ‘Columbine 2.0’: Reports
A student alerted officials to the plot after the San Ramon teenager allegedly tried to recruit him to help pull off the shooting massacre.

SAN RAMON, CA — A San Ramon freshman suspected of plotting to harm other students was meticulously planning a shooting at the campus on the anniversary of the deadly Columbine High School massacre, according to media reports. The Cal High student, whose name has not been released because of his age, was arrested in April.
A student alerted officials to the plot, which the suspect allegedly referred to as “Columbine 2.0,” after the teenager tried to recruit him to help pull off the shooting on April 20, 2021, according to a report in the East Bay Times. Fifteen people, including the two suspects, died during the Columbine massacre. Read full report here.
