Tri-Valley Cultural Jews Invites All to  Joyful Lag B’Omer Picnic & Potluck in San Ramon

San Ramon, CA — May 3,2026— Join us this Lag B’Omer for a celebration of community, camaraderie, and good old-fashioned fun! Tri-Valley Cultural Jews, is hosting its annual Lag B’Omer Picnic in San Ramon on May 3rdth, and we want YOU to be there!

This relaxed outdoor gathering celebrates Lag B’Omer with a Secular Humanist Jewish approach, bringing people together to enjoy community, culture, and the spring season. The event is open to all, including those who are new to the organization or simply curious to learn more.

This year’s picnic also promises classic park games, including frisbee, soccer, and our infamous Annual Melon Toss. Yes, you read that right! Test your aim and toss a melon as far as you can — it’s a highlight of the day that always brings laughter and excitement.

• Date & Time: Sunday, May 18th, 10:30am-12pm
• Location: San Ramon, CA (Details shared at registration)
• Cost: Free for members; Suggested $15 donation per non-member adult (if you are able)
• What to Bring: A dish to share for the potluck (if you're able!), picnic blankets, outdoor games, and a sense of fun!
• Who’s Invited: Everyone! Whether you're a member of the Secular Humanist Jewish community or a friend curious to learn more, all are welcome!

This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded people in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Let’s enjoy the warmth of the spring, good food, great company, and some friendly competition in our annual melon toss!
