Duo Nabbed For Burglary, Stolen Property, San Ramon Police Say

Police said an alert citizen called 911 after seeing the suspect smash a window of a car parked at the Shops at Bishop Ranch.

SAN RAMON, CA — Two men who are accused of car burglaries in San Ramon and Pleasant Hill were arrested Wednesday morning, police said. Police said an alert citizen called 911 after seeing the suspect smash the rear window of a car parked in the Shops at Bishop Ranch parking lot, which is located at 150 Sunset Dr.

Officers in the area found a sedan associated with the suspect parked nearby in the Target lot. The driver, who was later identified as 24-year-old Patrick Freeney of Oakland, was found to be on probation in Alameda County. His passenger was identified as 24-year-old Antwon Johnson.

Police said they searched the car and allegedly found a stolen briefcase and an Apple laptop computer taken during vehicle burglaries at Peet’s Coffee in Pleasant Hill and one near Panera Bread in the Crow Canyon Shopping Center in San Ramon. Both burglaries were reported hours earlier, according to police.

Johnson and Freeney were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, burglary and conspiracy, police said. They were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility in Contra Costa County.
