Cause of Fire in San Ramon Apartment Complex Under Investgation

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire at a San Ramon apartment complex Monday evening, a San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman said. Fire crews responded to a report of a fire in the 100 block of Countrybrook Loop at 6:12 p.m., spokeswoman Kim French said.

The fire was burning a two-story apartment building with eight units and a second alarm was called due to flames extending to the attic, French said. The blaze was extinguished around 6:30 p.m., she said.

No one was inside the building when firefighters arrived, according to French. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
