Children's Play Space Opens In San Ramon's Bishop Ranch Center
Kids ages 0 to 6 can climb, read, play with a train, solve puzzles and more at the newly opened Play Star Kids in San Ramon.
SAN RAMON, CA — Play Star Kids, an indoor educational play space for kids 6 years old and younger, has opened in City Center Bishop Ranch.
Play Star Kids offers play activities and educational activities in two separate rooms. Kids can engage in dramatic play, puzzles or reading, and climb, play at a kitchen station and more, said co-owner Rowena Morgan. Educational activities are related to science, technology, engineering, art and math, or STEAM.
It's an "all-weather, clean, well-lit, stimulating place for adults and children to relax, and learn, and play and socialize," Morgan said.

For 22 years, Morgan has operated Music Together businesses — which offer music classes for kids — in the Tri-Valley. She opened a City Center Bishop Ranch location last fall.
The idea for Play Star Kids came to her when an indoor play space in Danville closed and clients asked her if there was a similar place that they could take their kids, she said.

There was none nearby, so Play Star Kids was born.
"It was an opportunity to serve those families in this other way," Morgan said.
Play Star Kids opened in January, on the second floor of City Center Bishop Ranch (6000 Bollinger Canyon Road, Ste. 2605).
Kids must have supervision. Families may visit for a $15 drop-in fee, with sibling discounts, or purchase a monthly membership at $99 for the first child, with sibling discounts. Special events may be booked at the facility.
Play Star Kids is open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
