Saturday, December 3: Bah Humbug Run
Kids' Dash – 8 a.m.
5K Run/Walk – 9 a.m.
San Ramon Community Center
Start the holiday season off with a healthy fun run or walk through San Ramon this Saturday, December 3! This event is great for families and children.
The Kids’ Dash begins at 8 a.m., and is for children ages 3–12. Kids will dash through the 1K course and conclude at the main finish line in front of the San Ramon Community Center (12501 Alcosta Blvd). Children will be grouped by ages 3–6, 7–9 and 10–12.
The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. at the San Ramon Community Center.
All participants will receive a long-sleeved holiday t-shirt and the famous Bah Humbug! ornament. Register now at the link below!
Saturday, December 3: Community Tree Lighting
4–6 p.m. at City Hall Rotunda & Central Park Meadow
Join the City of San Ramon for the Community Tree Lighting event this Saturday, December 3 from 4–6 p.m. at the City Hall Rotunda (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road) and Central Park Meadow!
Festive entertainment, holiday crafts, tasty treats, and fun photo opportunities will lead up to the lighting of the City Tree in Central Park Meadow. Live entertainment will be provided by Dougherty Valley High School Choir, the San Ramon Community Chorus, Studio 8 Dance Academy, Olympia Fields Brass Band, and Santa!
At this event, residents can also donate to the City of San Ramon's Toys for Tots holiday toy drive, by bringing new, unwrapped gifts for ages 0–18.

Holiday on the Farm
Saturday, December 10 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Forest Home Farms
On Saturday, December 10, join a FREE old-fashioned holiday gathering at Forest Home Farms Historic Park (19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd.) from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Activities include visits with Santa, old-fashioned ornament making, holiday entertainment, refreshments, and a Victorian holiday tour of the Glass House Museum.
Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive: Now Through Monday, December 12
The 2022 Toys for Tots holiday toy drive is taking place now through Monday, December 12!
Donations of new, unwrapped toys for ages 0–18 (toys for teens are especially needed!) can be contributed at the following locations:
- San Ramon City Hall
7000 Bollinger Canyon Road - San Ramon Community Center
12501 Alcosta Blvd - Alcosta Senior and Community Center
9300 Alcosta Blvd - San Ramon Service Center
5000 Crow Canyon Road - Public Safety Complex

Dropoff sites are open Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Letters to Santa: Mailbox Open Until December 15
The City of San Ramon has a special red mailbox and the letter are delivered directly to the North Pole. Write Santa a letter and you will receive a reply from Santa Claus himself!
Santa's red mailbox is located in the lobby of San Ramon City Hall (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road). Parents will receive the original letter back, and Santa will send his reply directly to the child. You can choose to have your child write a letter themselves, or fill out this Santa Letter form. Please be sure to print your child's name and address so Santa can reply.
All letters must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 15. The letter from Santa will be mailed by Tuesday, December 20.
San Ramon Symphonic Band Holiday Festival Concert
Friday, December 16 at 7 p.m.
Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center
Enjoy a San Ramon holiday tradition with the Symphonic Band's Holiday Festival Concert at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center (10550 Albion Road)! The band will play holiday classics, and the concert is a great way to get in the holiday spirit with the entire family. Don't get left out in the cold for this special concert—advance purchase of tickets is strongly recommended.

San Ramon Community Chorus & Dancers
Sunday, December 18 at 2 p.m.
San Ramon Community Center
Enjoy a concert filled with festive cheer as the San Ramon Community Chorus sings your holiday favorites on Sunday, December 18 at 2 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center (12501 Alcosta Blvd). The FREE concert will also feature local dance groups!
Apply Today: Real ID Requirements Begin May 3, 2023
Beginning May 3, 2023, a REAL ID will be required to board domestic flights and visit secure federal facilities such as military bases or courthouses. A California-issued REAL ID driver’s license or identification card meets these new requirements, and is marked with a gold bear and star.
Applying for a REAL ID requires proof of identity, California residency, and a trip to a DMV office. Provide Social Security number on REAL ID application (exceptions may apply).
Wait times are expected to increase as the deadline approaches, so California residents are encouraged to apply now to avoid lines, and upgrade to the REAL ID at no extra cost.
