Contra Costa Sheriff's Office To Hold One-Day Youth Academy

The Saturday in July is geared toward teens ages 13 to 19 and will include back-scene tours and presentations.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff will host a one-day Youth Academy on Sat., July 29 -- a condensed version of the six-week Citizens Academy and geared toward teens 13-19 years old.

The day will include tours of the Coroner’s Office, crime lab and dispatch center, plus a presentation by the SWAT team and mock vehicle stops.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the Sheriff's Office, see what goes on behind the scenes, and meet some Deputy Sheriffs and staff.

The goal of the Youth Academy is to educate and involve the youth of Contra Costa County with the Sheriff’s Office and build relationships and partnerships with the community.
