Coroner IDs Woman Killed In Saturday 680 Crash: Report

Authorities released the name of a woman killed after her car stalled on 680, causing a series of collisions.

SAN RAMON, CA — Authorities Tuesday confirmed the identity of a driver killed Saturday morning after her call stalled on 680 near the Dublin-San Ramon border, resulting in a series of crashes.

The Contra Costa County Coroner's Division identified the deceased as Angel Beth Green, 46, of Sacramento, according to Danville San Ramon.

At around 3 a.m. Saturday on southbound 680 near the Alcosta Boulevard interchange, Green’s Mercedes C230 struck the center divider, causing it to stop, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn told Pleasanton Weekly.

This caused a Ford Fusion to crash into the disabled car, causing the driver to be ejected, Hahn said. The Mercedes was hit again by a semi-truck, sending it back toward the center divider and hitting another car.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene, Hahn said. Lanes were closed for about 4 hours.
