COVID-19 San Ramon City Service Updates
All City facilities will be closed to the public, including City Hall, all Community Centers, the Permit Center and Police Department.

In response to the latest Public Health Order from Contra Costa County Health Services (CCHS), the following changes will be effect for the City of San Ramon services beginning Tuesday, March 17 through Tuesday, April 7, and may be extended based on future public health directives.

All City facilities will be closed to the public, including City Hall, all Community Centers, the Permit Center and Police Department. Some services will still be available over the phone or online.
For questions about specific programs or services, each department can be contacted at the numbers below during regular business hours (M–F, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.).

City Hall & Administrative Services
- Passport appointments are cancelled / postponed until after April 30
- School Tours of City Hall are cancelled / postponed until after April 30
- Government 101 is cancelled / postponed until after April 30

Official Meetings (City Council & Committees)
- City Council Meetings & Sub-Committees will continue as scheduled, with the following changes, through April 30:
- Only essential business will be discussed
- No special presentations will occur
- Meeting attendees will be limited to no more than 40 attendees, using
social distancing, and spacing of 6 feet pursuant to Contra Costa County
Health Services guidelines. - For essential meetings where attendance exceeds 40, overflow rooms will be made available.
- Meetings may also be conducted remotely, with proper notice
- All non-Council committees are cancelled / postponed until after April 30.

Parks and Community Services

All Parks and Community Services events, recreation programs, and aquatic programs are cancelled / postponed until after April 30. Refunds will be issued for all missed programs.
- All City Recreation Facilities including the San Ramon Community Center, Dougherty Station Community Center, Amador Rancho Community Center, Alcosta Senior and Community Center, San Ramon Olympic Pool, Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center, Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center, Pine Valley Gymnasium and Iron Horse Gymnasium are closed to the public through April 30.
- Teen Centers are closed until schools open again (currently April 13)
- San Ramon Library, Dougherty Station Library and all Contra Costa Libraries will be closed until further notice. Book drops will remain open, but as materials can carry viruses for several days, patrons are encouraged to keep items until the re-libraries reopen. The Library will automatically extend due dates on all materials. All overdue fines were eliminated in 2019 and no other negative consequences will result from late items during this closure. Patrons are encouraged to use library services available online including access to eBooks and eAudiobooks with Overdrive/Libby, Enki eBooks, streaming movies through Kanopy and Video Storytime. - The Skate Park at Central Park is closed through April 30
- All other City parks, tennis courts, and public bathrooms remain open; those who visit
parks should maintain social distancing of 6 feet and practice recommended hand washing measures. - The following services are still available:

- Senior Hotline: In order to support San Ramon Seniors who must remain home during the current public health order, the City of San Ramon has set up a Senior Hotline at (925) 973-3250.
Seniors can call this number Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, to:- Sign up for meal delivery through the Senior Nutrition Program

Seniors ages 60+ should call (925) 973-3250 by noon on the previous business day to request lunch for the following day. A seven day meal pack will be delivered on Tuesdays only, after 12pm.

Community Development Department
Building and Safety Services
- Inspections: No non-essential building inspections will be performed for
occupied residential interior-related permits. Building inspectors will perform essential inspections on unoccupied improvement, construction projects with exterior construction only, and new buildings. Emergency inspections will be performed as determined necessary.
- Minor Permit Processing:

Submittal of minor permit application (water heater, furnace, HVAC, windows, etc.) that can be submitted by fax (925-838-2821) on letter sized paper (8.5 x 11) or by email (permits@sanramon.ca.gov) will require the permit application and supporting documents. Planning Services
Planning Services will continue to accept and process development applications online via email or a web portal, or via US mail. Applications will be electronically referred to the various
departments and agencies for review and comment.
- Business License Submittal:
Please complete the Business License Application, including the payment information on page 4. Email the completed application and any necessary supporting information to planning@sanramon.ca.gov. If you have questions or problems submitting, call (925) 973-2560 for support.
Download and complete the required applications, provide digital copies of plans or other required materials, and a completed a credit card authorization form for payment. Email the completed forms, plans, and support materials to planning@sanramon.ca.gov. If you have questions or problems submitting, please call (925) 973-2560 to speak with a planner.
For large applications, a Dropbox link may be required. In these situations, please coordinate with a staff planner directly at planning@sanramon.ca.gov or (925) 973-2560.

Engineering Services
Engineering Services will be available by phone, email or web for:
- Encroachment Permits (925-973-2692 for inspection appointment)

- Any applications submitted or in process with the Division
- All essential encroachment permit inspections will be performed to keep the rights-of-way safe and utility services operating
- All projects under construction will continue if considered essential for the benefit of the public, enforcing all protocols listed in the Order.

Public Services
- Public Services staff will respond to all calls received by public to maintain safety
- All traffic signal operations will be monitored, maintained, and addressed by staff
- All City Parks will remain open and will be monitored by a core staff 3 days a week and perform basic maintenance, and will address immediate issues
- The Skate Park at Central Park will be closed
- Maintenance Contractors (i.e. landscape, janitorial, tree service, aquatics) will continue their services with staff oversight
- All Citizen Request CRMs submitted will be reviewed, addressed, and responded to
- Street Sweeping will continue as currently scheduled

Transportation Services
- The City of San Ramon has suspended sales of Clipper Cards at City facilities until further notice.
- Public Transit service, provided by County Connection, will continue with normal schedules for fixed route and express bus service (with the exception of the 600 school series routes, which will not operate until further notice).
- County Connection paratransit service will remain as is.
- The GoSanRamon! On Demand Transportation Service will remain as is.

Health Recommendations:
Remember, the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is to:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or the inside of your elbow
- Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care
- Avoid close contact with others, especially those who are sick
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
- Only use a face mask if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. Face masks are also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).
