Man Dies In San Ramon Parking Lot, Police Say

Employees who work in the shopping center said they tried to revive the man.

SAN RAMON, CA — Police are investigating a death reported in a San Ramon parking lot early Tuesday morning. At about 6 a.m., officers and firefighters were called to the Safeway parking lot on Bollinger Canyon Road to investigate a report of an unresponsive person inside a car, police said.

Employees who work in the shopping center told Patch that they tried to revive the man while waiting for help. Police said officers found the body of a 23-year-old man when they arrived.

Police are investigating the death and the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy. The victim’s name was not released.

Police said there was "no external threat to public safety involved in this incident."
