San Ramon is restarting its beloved tradition of screening family movies from local pools during the summer.
SAN RAMON, CA — It's fun enough watching a movie. Watching a movie from a pool is a whole new level.
Starting June 26, San Ramon is hosting its beloved "Dive-In Movies" summer series, in which families are invited to watch different movies from the San Ramon Olympic Pool on Friday nights.
The first showing will be Zootopia 2, a 2025 animated Disney film about a rabbit and fox who police an animal city called Zootopia. The showing will take place Friday, June 26 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Recreational swim will begin at 7. When the sun goes down, the pool will be closed briefly to prepare for the movie. Swimmers will then be invited back into the water to enjoy the film. Anyone on land should bring a chair and blankets.
