Driver Killed On 680 After 4-Vehicle Crash: Report
A broken down car early Saturday morning caused three more accidents and killed the driver, CHP officials said.
SAN RAMON, CA — A driver was killed early Saturday morning after their vehicle was involved in four separate crashes on 680, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 3 a.m. Saturday on southbound 680 near the Alcosta Boulevard interchange near the Dublin-San Ramon border, a Mercedes C230 struck the center divider, causing it to stop, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn told Pleasanton Weekly.
This caused a Ford Fusion to crash into the disabled car, causing the driver to be ejected, Hahn said. The Mercedes was hit again by a semi-truck, sending it back toward the center divider and hitting another car.
