ACL Knee Injuries--reducing risks & treating

The Sports Performance Institute at San Ramon Regional Medical Center is presenting a free community seminar on ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) knee injuries. Most ACL injuries occur during sport activities that involve sudden stopping, combined with a rapid change of direction, such as soccer, basketball and tennis. With this painful injury, the knee becomes unstable. Orthopedic Surgeon, Ian Stine, M.D., will discuss the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of ACL injuries. Always emphasizing conservative treatments, he will discuss both non-surgical and advanced minimally invasive surgical treatments. Learn how sports training and conditioning may help to reduce the risks of ACL injuries in young as well as older athletes.
