Fatal Head-On Car Crash Near San Ramon Could Be Alcohol-Related
A driver was killed just outside San Ramon's city limits Saturday after reportedly driving recklessly, CHP said.

SAN RAMON, CA — A man was killed in a potentially alcohol-involved crash Saturday afternoon, just south of the San Ramon city limits.
Liupua M. Talivaa, 36, of Concord was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the California Highway Patrol Castro Valley unit.
Another driver from Walnut Creek was seriously injured and taken to Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek Medical Center. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The crash occurred along Crow Canyon Road, south of Bollinger Canyon Road.
Witnesses say they saw Talivaa driving recklessly and cross over the double yellow lines into the southbound lanes of Crow Canyon, where he struck the Walnut Creek driver head-on, according to CHP.
