Fine Art Photography Showcased in San Ramon Gallery
See San Ramon photographer Mark Ballock's nature photography at the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Art Gallery through the end of June.
Mark Ballock calls himself an artist of light, shadow and life.
The product of that artistry is on display at the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Art Gallery in the San Ramon Community Center through the end of the month.
The San Ramon native and fine art photographer uses that eye for the unique to capture scenes from nature, from California coastlines to snow-covered mountain roads and local historic landmarks.

"Each of his photographs tells a story of emotion, inspiration or reflection of the unique world in which we live," wrote the City of San Ramon in its exhibit pamphlet.
Some of those reflections include placid lakes, black-and-white stills of an old farm and twin silos, a squirrel trying to lick up drops from a water fountain and wild birds on the Pacific shore.

The city will host a reception for the artist from 3 to 5 p.m. on June 19 at the gallery in the San Ramon Community Center, 12501 Alcosta Blvd.
