Free Programs This Month at Forest Home Farms Historic Park
Children can learn about games played by kids before smartphones were invented.

SAN RAMON - Step back in time to learn how families lived in San Ramon 100 years ago.
Forest Home Farms Historic Park in San Ramon is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays feature free family activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a docent-led Glass House Museum tour at 2 p.m. (There a tour fee for adults.)

Come by the farm to play some old fashioned games inside the walnut barn. Learn about and play some games that were popular with children over 100 years ago.
January 23 - Chicken Tales

Meet the chickens that live on the farm, learn how they provided for pioneer families and how people are bringing farming to their home with backyard chickens. Make a chicken craft to take home.
January 30 - Groundhog Day: Is it Spring yet?
Explore Groundhog Day’s shadowy history as well as interesting facts about the custom. Make a Groundhog craft to take home.
A tour of the restored Victorian Glass House Museum is at 2 p.m. for a fee of $5 per person payable by credit card only. Children ages 3 and under are free.
