San Ramon artist Sindu Karun submitted this evocative portrait of Frida Kahlo.
SAN RAMON, CA — What better way to kick off an arts series than a portrait of one of history’s most renowned artists? Sindu Karun, a six-year San Ramon resident who taught herself to paint and now gives painting lessons, submitted this beautiful portrait of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
“She is one of the most renowned and celebrated artists from Mexico,” Karun told Patch. “She is remembered for her self portraits, bold and vibrant paintings.”
