Grass Fire Near Morgan Territory Stopped

Forward progress has been stopped on a quarter-acre fire that broke out near Morgan Territory Preserve Thursday Morning.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A quarter-acre fire burning near an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County near the Morgan Territory Regional Preserve was stopped shortly after it started, according to the Watch Duty app.

The fire, deemed the Highland Fire, broke out at 11:55 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Carneal and Highland roads, according to Pulsepoint and Watch Duty.

At 12:30, Watch Duty reported that the fire has been knocked down, per Incident Command, and additional resources have been cancelled.
