Great Greek Mediterranean Grill Opens In San Ramon

SAN RAMON, CA — Amid the cold and rain, many in San Ramon may fantasize about being in Greece. That can be expensive, but the next besting is the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, which recently opened at 2475 San Ramon Valley Boulevard.

The fast casual franchise, which opened a downtown Danville location in April, offers modern interpretations of Mediterranean favorites like the Great Greek Gyro, and lamb, steak, and chicken souvlaki plates complemented by Greek salads and house-made dips like hummus, tzatziki, melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) and Tirokafteri (spicy roasted red pepper).

The menu also includes customizable rice bowls, feta fries, and desserts like baklava ice cream and rice pudding. Guests can build their own Gyros and Souvlaki Skewers accompanied by rice pilaf, Greek salad, dips, and desserts like baklava.

San Ramon Mayor Mark Armstrong and representatives of the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce recently attended a ribbon cutting alongside Amarendra "Amar" Thummeti, who also opened the Danville location.
