Hello (Again) From New San Ramon Patch Editor Mike Wittner

SAN RAMON, CA — Hello again! My name is Mike Wittner, and I will be taking over as the permanent editor of the San Ramon Patch.

Some of you may remember that I covered San Ramon in January through March, as they were searching for a permanent replacement for Courtney Teague. Ultimately, that permanent replacement turned out to be me, so I thought I’d re-introduce myself.

I came to Patch in 2020 and covered a number of communities around the Los Angeles area, including Beverly Hills, Malibu and Calabasas. After a brief detour reporting for the Beverly Hills Courier, I returned to Patch as a roving editor, covering communities across the country. Before joining Patch, I reported for the Jewish Journal in my native Massachusetts, and wrote for my high school and college newspapers.

In my free time, I love to swim, hike, bike, and take my cat on walks (it can be done!)

I’m excited to be based permanently in the Tri-Valley. I really enjoyed learning about these fascinating communities earlier this year, and am excited to dig deeper. If there is anything you’d like me to know/cover/investigate/explain, please feel free to email michael.wittner@patch.com.
